​​2025 Virtual MAAGI
​
In 2025, MAAGI delivered all classes in a fully virtual format.
Registered participants were provided with a link granting access to the virtual classroom for their chosen track.​

THE 2024 HYBRID EXPERIENCE
MAAGI, the Teaching Institute, was offered as a hybrid event this year, giving participants the option to attend in person or, for those unable to travel to Fort Wayne, to access the rich content provided by our presenters remotely. Both formats applied to all tracks except the DNA Track. All DNA instruction was delivered entirely online, with no in-person sessions.

IN PERSON ATTENDEES
Attending in person provided participants with the richest MAAGI experience. This included:

• Full access to the largest genealogy library in the country, the Genealogy Center at  the Allen County, Public Library.
• Direct personal contact with the instructors for 3 full days and 12 classes in their subject area of interest.
• Live Brick Wall night time experience for attendees.
• Fellowship opportunities to interact with dozens of researchers who share the same genealogical interest.

VIRTUAL ATTENDEES
This option was available for those who were unable to travel to Indiana but still wished to benefit from the three days of MAAGI class lectures. All tracks offered the ability to view presentations online; however, one track, DNA Tracks 2a and 2b was taught exclusively in a virtual format. Virtual attendees were able to ask questions after each session, and they followed the same break times and class schedules as in-person participants.
The MAAGI staff was pleased to serve more students by offering these dynamic classes to everyone. Our 12th year proved to be an exciting one!

LOCATION
MAAGI 2024’s in-person sessions took place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, US.

​2023 Virtual MAAGI
​
In 2023, all classes at MAAGI were taught virtually.
​Confirmed participants received a link to the virtual classroom for the track for which they have registered.
